Carbon steel wire mesh is also known as iron woven wire mesh, low carbon steel mesh, mild steel mesh, or black wire mesh.

This is the most cost-effective wire mesh among all the wire mesh materials. Mild steel wire mesh is mainly made of Q195 and Q235 carbon steel wires. Just like other wire mesh products made of stainless steel or aluminum, carbon steel wire mesh can also be produced by different weave patterns including plain and twill weave, plain Dutch and twill Dutch weave, and herringbone weaving pattern, etc.

Galvanized wire mesh is basically a steel woven wire mesh with zinc coating. Based on different zinc coating technologies, galvanized wire mesh has several different options.

This wire mesh can differ between galvanized woven wire mesh and galvanized welded wire mesh. METART mainly produces woven wire mesh and we could also supply welded wires based on customers' needs.

Type 1: Pre-Electro Galvanized Wire Mesh (made of pre-galvanized wires)

This is a woven wire made of pre-electro galvanized wires, which has relatively lower corrosion resistance but has a better performance in corrotion resistance than mill-finished mild steel mesh.

Type 2: After Electro Galvanized Wire Mesh (mild steel wire mesh + extra electro-galvanizing process)

This is a woven wire made of common iron wire mesh and then galvanized after the mesh is produced. This type of galvanized mesh has an equivalent corrosion resistance to type 1 mesh and similar pricing based on availability.

Type 3, Pre-Hot Dip Galvanized Wire Mesh (made of hot dip galvanized wires)

This is a woven wire mesh that is fabricated by hot dip galvanized wires. This type of mesh has much better corrosion resistance than electro-galvanized wire mesh.

Type 4, After-Hot Dip Galvanized Wire Mesh (made of carbon steel wire mesh + extra hot-dip galvanizing process)

This type of wire mesh is often with greater wire diameters and big aperture sizes.

Otherwise, the high temperature of the hot dip galvanizing process would destroy the wires.

The dip galvanized wire mesh produced in this way is always of super great corrosion resistance and excellent outdoor performance.

As to corrosion resist property, it is best among the above-mentioned four galvanized wire mesh options.
